Mariy Apostolov has more than 25 years experience in auditing engagements for clients from different industries in Bulgaria. Mariy is a registered auditor at Bulgarian Institute of Certified Public Accountants with Diploma №488/1999. He has extensive experience in providing assurance and advisory services. Throughout his career, Mariy has worked with both public and private companies across various industries, including highly regulated businesses in the financial sector and complex holding structures.
Experience
Since the establishment of the company in 1995, Mariy Apostolov has been the Managing partner of Grant Thornton Bulgaria. This role has provided him with a unique and profound experience in the implementation and communication of the firm’s strategy, planning and implementation of various and different in complexity engagements, etc. Mariy has provided assurance, certification and accreditation services to a number of financial and governmental institutions in Bulgaria financed by EU funds, World Bank, etc.
He has participated as a key expert in advisory projects and reviews of banks, insurance companies and other public and private companies in Bulgaria, Macedonia and Tatarstan.
Mariy Apostolov has worked on a number of engagements with financial institutions, which are under the regulation of Bulgarian National Bank and Bulgarian Financial Supervision Commission. He has acted as the key audit partner in assurance engagements for credit institutions, pension funds, insurance companies, mutual funds and other special investment purpose entities.
